Warm Up America! Joins Yarnsgiving Initiative
Warm Up America! (WUA!) is thrilled to partner with the Craft Yarn Council for Yarnsgiving. As part of this collaborative effort, makers participating in Yarnsgiving will be encouraged to create and donate knitted or crocheted sections (see patterns below), which will later be joined into cozy lap blankets for charity.
Yarnsgiving, an initiative promoting the joy of crafting and giving with yarn, will run from I Love Yarn Day, October 12th to December 3rd, culminating on Giving Tuesday.
The goal of Yarnsgiving is to collect 2,500 sections, which will be assembled into 100 lap blankets and then be distributed to various charities across the nation.
Additionally, monetary donations will be encouraged on Giving Tuesday to support the ongoing efforts of Warm Up America! Donate here today!

Anyone can crochet or knit these sections and donate them to Warm Up America! Download the patterns below and ship finished sections to Warm Up America! The sections will be joined into lap blankets and will be donated to various organizations in need in America.

MAKE
Volunteers can donate their time to crochet and knit one or more 7" by 9" sections, as well as entire blankets and accessories. Sections are either joined by individuals or groups in a community.
